Thermostat CJ 1972-1986 This Is An OMIX Brand Thermostat In Various Temperatures Available To Cool Or Heat Your Engine To Your Needs. These Thermostats Fit All Jeep CJ’s From 1972-1986 With The 304 Eight Cylinder Engine & The 258 Six Cylinder Engine. Thermostats need to be checked every couple years or 30,000 miles whichever comes first. If your engine is overheating-this is the first thing to check or change. We have these available in the standard 195 degree rating. We also have the 180 degree and 160 degree rated models available if your vehicle is running hotter than normal. These lower temperature models are ideal for vehicles that are operated in year-round warm climates, or for those of you who enjoy Off-Roading and run your Jeep at High RPM’s.
